    Dowhas an exciting opportunity for aQuality System Process Expertise Manager with a preferred location ofMidland, MI! Will also considerFreeport, TX and Hahnville, LA.

     

    Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within a sub-process in the overall Most Effective Technology (MET) quality system work process and related architecture, policies, and procedures - working at a global, corporate level – partnering with others in the global DSS organization and with global business Quality teams to enable understanding and optimal utilization of the overall MET quality solution to deliver value and ensure appropriate corporate governance and global business gatekeeping. Leads and supports development, maintenance, implementation, and optimization of all aspects of the MET quality system relative to their scope while enabling governance to mitigate risk and improve business productivity relative to quality system management. Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

    Responsibilities:

    + Serves as a corporate technical expert for the Most Effective Technology (MET) Quality System work process, management system and related architecture, policies, and procedures within the LIT area of scope.

    + Ensures optimal system design, development, testing, and defect resolution to ensure strategic quality system elements of the Corporate Quality Strategy and Business Quality Strategies are met productively.

    + Provides appropriate training, coaching, consulting, networking, and troubleshooting of user issues within the scope of the position, including on-call support as assigned within the team. Initial support ticket triage is conducted by the 24/7 Level 3 team - this position is aligned with periodic on-call support to provide Level 4 guidance and partnership to drive resolution of the user or system issue.

    + Partners with cross-functional teams and business experts to support design, development, and change management for system changes and continual improvement (including application life cycle management activities).

    + Provides global technical and work process leadership and support to all businesses – representing all aspects of the Manage Product Quality management system, architecture, and work processes to enable improvements.

    + Supports implementation and/or discontinuation of the LIT portion of the MET1 Quality System based on strategic corporate and business projects and service level agreements.

    + Ensures effective stakeholder management and communication to corporate and global business stakeholders for all targeted initiatives.

    + Supports and leads cross-functional initiatives to drive improvements related to the area of scope, leveraging to the greatest extent possible to optimize impact across sites, businesses, and functions.

    + Partners cross-functionally to evaluate/validate/implement and ensure appropriate gate-keeping and risk mitigation from a Quality Assurance perspective – includes development/assessment of new tools and systems.

    + Supports development and implementation of strategic performance metrics to ensure use and continual improvement of the corporate quality system, communicating progress toward prioritized deliverables to project leadership and key business and functional stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    + 6+ years of relevant experience

    + A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

    Must meet at least one of the following:

    + A minimum of a bachelor’s degreeorrelevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 rankingorCanadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant.

    + An Associate's degree AND 10 or more years of relevant experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Degree in Science or Computer Science related

    + Prior experience in information security, technology management, IT/OT, or related positions

    + Proven experience as a small project manager or team leader

    Your skills, knowledge, and abilities include:

    + Proficiency in Microsoft applications and reporting data analysis tool

    + Experience with reporting and analysis tools such as SM2XL, Focus EMI, Northwest Analytics, Power BI, etc.

    + Experience with Quality System Architecture (i.e., SAP, SRR, Sample Manager LIMS, OpenLab, and related interfaces) is desired

    + Familiarity with laboratory workflows and instrumentation (includes IT connectivity) is beneficial

    + System Implementations:System Implementation is defining how the information system should be built (i.e., physical system design), ensuring that the information system is operational and used and ensuring that the information system meets quality standard (i.e., quality assurance).

    + Influencing Skills:Influencing skills refer to the ability to bring people round to a certain way of thinking about a certain topic, without force or coercion whilst acknowledging their opinions.

    + Manufacturing Process Improvements:Manufacturing Process Improvements refers to optimizing workplace tasks to increase efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs and waste.

    + Cross-Functional Team Leadership: Cross-functional team leadership refers to the leading of a group of people with different functional expertise working toward a common goal. It may include people from finance, marketing, operations, and human resources departments. Typically, it includes employees from all levels of an organization. Members may also come from outside an organization.

    + Prioritization:Prioritization is the activity that arranges items or activities in order of importance relative to each other.

    + Risk Management: Risk management is the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of risks followed by coordinated and economical application of resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability or impact of unfortunate events or to maximize the realization of opportunities.

    + Information Technology (IT): Information technology includes computers, ancillary equipment, software, firmware and similar procedures, services (including support services), and related resources.
