    Summary You will serve as the BUSINESS DIRECTOR for NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII. Responsibilities You will manage a diverse workforce to maximize the use of personnel resources to meet mission requirements. You will lead and conduct negotiations using persuasive arguments to settle matters involving significant or controversial issues and reconcile differing interests into a consensus. You will develop briefs and point papers on resource issues and emerging problems to facilitate decision-making on budget, policy, legislative, and technical issues of interest to senior management. You will chair and lead meetings involving senior managers to discuss or solve significant organizational problems and concerns, and achieve consensus regarding preferred course of action. You will develop leadership in others through coaching, mentoring, rewarding, and guiding employees to ensure future success. You will assign and direct tasks or work based on command priorities, work requirements, difficulty of the assignment, and capabilities of organizational elements and employees. You will lead risk-based analysis of resources needed to accomplish program objectives (e.g., funding, manpower, facilities, equipment requirements). You will develop community management plans and designs that conform with statutory, administrative and funding limitations. You will lead change and build shared vision consistent with the command's vision and strategic direction. You will serve as the CO's strategist and business advisor, accelerating organizational effectiveness and mission readiness via strategic thinking, analytics, and resource/process integration. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing business performance of a major organization or command; Leading changes in an organization's culture by influencing, motivating, and challenging senior leadership within an organization; Directing strategic business thinking and subsequent planning and operations, ensuring they are in sync with an organization's mission and objectives; Providing expert leadership and managerial skills to advise other senior managers regarding operational policies encompassing people, budget, and processes; and Providing direction for a major organization or command through expertise in strategic thinking, business analytics, planning, resource management, policy oversight, command-level or organization-level oversight, and supervision.
