Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT in the Deputy Production Division (Code 1441), Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) Norfolk Naval Shipyard Detachment-Philadelphia of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the accomplishment of the Division's operations within the broad concepts set forth by the Director of NFPC. You will plan work, assign work to subordinates, evaluate work, provide advice, counsel and instruct, select employees, resolve employee complaints, effect disciplinary actions, identify training requirements and improve the work process. You will adhere to all OSHA and EPA regulations. You will oversee all aspects of machine tool maintenance, weight handling, welding, tool control, and calibration. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience coordinating work between multiple projects to determine the most efficient manpower distribution Experience directing the planning and scheduling of manufacturing and maintenance processes to be accomplished Experience with the implementation and compliance of all safety and environmental regulations Experience maintaining the cost, schedule and quality of the product Experience overseeing all aspects of Foundry molding, casting, cleaning, and patternmaking operations in conjunction with all aspects of the Machine Shop.
