    Job Description

    Grace is seeking a Occupational Health Nurse to work onsite at our Baton Rouge, LA manufacturing site and support the employees at this site. You will be a member of the Corporate Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality team and report directly to the Corporate Occupational Health Nurse.

     

    As an Occupational Registered Nurse, you will provide occupational health services including but not limited to new hire physicals, occupational surveillance exams, drug screening, fit testing, minor acute care and injury management. The ideal candidate will have occupational health nursing experience, be able to function independently as well as part of the corporate nursing team. The candidate should be able to pivot when priorities change and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

    Responsibilities

    + First incident support to assess, treat, and advise medical treatment of employees with minor to life threatening injuries including emergency response. Documents first incident details.

    + Assessment, treatment and case management of occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.

    + Manages new hires and return to work clearances

    + Implements and maintains site medical services programs and procedures to meet Corporate Medical Guidelines and OSHA/other regulations.

    + Performs medical testing, venipuncture, evaluates medical records, and interprets results of diagnostic procedures.

    + Orders, receives, maintains, and administers vaccines as indicated for BBP program, post incident tetanus, and/or other vaccinations.

    + Provide medical expertise on antidote/treatments of chemicals to contractors, hospitals, medical clinics, and physicians during emergency situations treatment inquiries.

    + Responsible for maintaining all clinic supplies for employee health and emergency response.

    + Maintains complete medical records for all employee interaction in Cority EMR.

    + Participates in all mandatory nurse meetings and contributes to Grace standardization process as requested by manager.

    Required Qualifications

    + BSN-Bachelor of Science in Nursing or RN

    + Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, ideally will also include clinical nursing

    + Emergency Medical Responder certification

    + BLS CPR certified

    + Experience with EMR, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 1 year of occupational health nurse experience with demonstrated expertise in occupational health, occupational illness, and injury (case management, and return to work programs).

    + Industrial occupational health experience

    + NIOSH Pulmonary Function Certification

    + COHC Certified for Audiometric Hearing Conservation Testing

    + BAT-Breath Alcohol Technician

    + UDS collection Certified

    + Acute care nursing experience
