Job Summary
This role establishes visual and interactive design standards for internal and external communications projects. The individual in this role is expected to develop creative assets across multiple mediums, (print, email, website, signage, videos, digital advertising, etc.) demonstrate an understanding of design principles, and effectively communicate through their designs. This individual will work under the direction of the department manager or a senior designer.
This candidate should be highly detail-oriented with a keen design eye, proactive, skilled in unique creation and executing exceptional multi-channel, professional campaigns from start to finish while following company brand guidelines and styling.
Job Description
•AEP Energy is seeking talented and motivated Multi-Media Designer Associate to become an integral part of our marketing team.
+ **Learn and Assist in Design Projects** : Support senior designers in creating multimedia content, including but not limited to graphics, simple animations/motion graphics, and videos in multiple channels and mediums.
+ **Technical Knowledge** : Basic knowledge of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.).
+ **Content Creation** : Develop skills for creation of a variety of digital assets for various platforms such as websites, social media, and marketing materials.
+ **Research and Inspiration** : Research and gather inspiration and stay updated on current design trends, techniques and software.
+ **Feedback Implementation** : Revise and improve designs based on feedback from senior designers and stakeholders.
+ **Collaboration** : Work closely with other team members, other designers and creatives (ex. Photographers, Videographers, etc.) copywriters, developers, marketers, and project managers, to ensure cohesive project execution.
+ **File Management** : Organize, maintain and routinely back up design files and assets in an orderly manner.
+ **Quality Assurance** : Assist in the creative review processing to ensure designs meets quality standards, guidelines, and project requirements; and adjust based on digital testing results and historic trends.
+ **Learning and Development** : Continuously develop skills by participating in training sessions, feedback and review, and staying informed about new tools and technologies.
What We’re Looking For:
**Education Requirements:** Bachelor's degree in fine arts OR associate’s degree with 1 years of professional design experience.
**Experience** in web design, print design, motion graphics and graphic production for digital media, and the ability to deliver high-quality projects on deadline and within budget.
Other Requirements:
**Technical proficiency** : Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects preferred.
**Analytical mindset** : Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
**Problem-solving abilities** : Strong skills in identifying solutions.
**Communication skills** : Strong verbal and presentation abilities.
**Collaborative work** : Ability to work effectively across departments.
