The Pricing and Reporting Director is responsible for leading a Team to analyze industry and consumer trends, developing long-term strategies for product categories, and managing relationships with vendors. Responsible for ensuring consistent review and analysis of leading indicators for consumer and industry trends. They maximize consumer appeal through pricing, promotion, and product range management.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000 annually. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be determined based on experience level.
Essential Functions:
+ Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
+ Extensive experience in understanding consumer needs
+ Ability to work in a retail environment and identify opportunities and solutions.
+ Devise long-term development strategies for all product categories
+ Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services
+ Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility to increase sales and GMROI.
+ Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive promotional activities of a product category.
+ Collaborate with other departments such as sales, legal, Inventory and senior management.
+ Responsible for reporting results and updates to Senior Management on a regular basis, comparing costs, impact, and service level improvements.
+ Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in category management or related field.
+ Four or more years of vendor relationship experience.
+ Two or more years in the auto parts, tires, or auto service (retail) industry.
+ Ability to use MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Advanced level of Excel knowledge required.
+ Strong communication and phone skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Knowledge & Skills
+ Proven experience as pricing Director/Leader, category manager or similar role
+ Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills: ability to professionally interact with all levels of staff and management as well as external vendors.

+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and change focus quickly to meet business needs in a fast-paced environment.
+ Ability to lead, and mentor a team while driving for results
+ Strategic thinker with solid knowledge of Pricing concepts
+ Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications, and the ability to learn new and existing company specific software applications.
+ Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, project management reports, etc.
+ Ability to take initiative and identify problems and corrective action/solutions as needed.
+ Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category
+ Must have extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail environment
+ Responsible for developing requested reports for the field or corporate as needed.
+ Ability to increase sales and profitability of business to drive sustainable growth.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners and fax machines. Position requires prolonged periods of sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
