Position Description
We are seeking an Administrative Support Specialist to join our team, bringing five years of experience in administrative roles and a strong understanding of federal guidelines and policy interpretation. This role is vital to ensuring efficient administrative support across various organizational functions, using technology and communication skills to facilitate seamless operations.
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will:
+ Manage and develop documents, correspondence, and records aligned with federal guidance and policy.
+ Interpret complex federal policy language, statutes, regulations, and guidance to ensure compliance and accuracy in administrative procedures.
+ Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging professionally with claimants, FEMA staff, and other stakeholders, explaining policies and procedures.
+ Utilize administrative software, claims management software, databases, and other technology tools to optimize document management, data reporting, and communication processes.
+ Maintain and manage records efficiently, ensuring they meet organizational standards and federal guidelines.
+ Balance workload effectively and demonstrate strong time management skills to meet organizational objectives.
+ Evaluate administrative documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Candidates must be within commuting distance of Santa Fe, NM or willing to deploy. Hotels and per diem will be provided to those candidates who deploy.
In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the target hourly rate is $18 - $25; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
+ High School Diploma.
+ Minimum of five years of combined experience in administrative roles, with emphasis on customer service, data entry, document development, records management, and policy adherence.
+ Proficient in disaster-related assessments and cost evaluations for losses and damages.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain policies and procedures effectively.
+ Proficiency in using claims management software, databases, and tools to enhance documentation and communication.
+ Previous experience you have working with attorneys as claimant representatives is a plus.
