Position Description
Join our dynamic team as a Claims Quality Control Specialist, where your expertise will contribute to effective disaster claim processing and customer satisfaction. You will leverage your NFIP Certification and robust experience in claims evaluation to navigate complex federal policies while maintaining exceptional standards of service. This role requires proficiency in technology and communications as you work closely with claimants and other stakeholders.
As a Disaster Claims Quality Control Specialist, you will:
+ Evaluate and process a variety of disaster-related claims, accurately determining loss validity and extent.
+ Interpret complex federal policy language, including statutes, regulations, and guidelines, in order to facilitate accurate claim processing.
+ Verify detailed assessments of damages and determine appropriate repair and replacement costs for affected properties.
+ Communicate effectively with claimants, FEMA staff, and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and adherence to policy regulations.
+ Utilize claims management software and databases to enhance documentation and communication processes.
+ Address inquiries from policyholders and stakeholders, ensuring resolution with professionalism and customer service excellence.
+ Collaborate with team members and external partners to ensure efficient and precise claim management.
+ Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes impacting commercial property insurance.
Candidates must be within commuting distance of Santa Fe, NM or willing to deploy. Hotels and per diem will be provided to those candidates who deploy.
In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the target salary range is $57,000 - $80,000; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
+ High School Diploma.
+ NFIP (National Flood Insurance Program) Certification.
+ Minimum of ten years of combined experience in claim/case processing roles, emphasizing customer service, data entry, and loss evaluation.
+ Ability to understand and interpret complex federal policy language with precision.
+ Proficient in disaster-related assessments and cost evaluations for losses and damages.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain policies and procedures effectively.
+ Proficiency in using claims management software, databases, and tools to enhance documentation and communication.
