    # Project Overview:

    Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.

    # Job Summary:

    In this role, you will integrate safety and health requirements into complex project planning, design, and operations to reduce the potential for adverse impacts. You will perform risk assessments, provide input on bid decisions, lead meetings and communications, and track and monitor performance trends. Your recommendations will contribute to enhanced quality of safety procedures and work processes.  \#LI-AM3

    # Major Responsibilities:

    + Assists execution of the safety component of an ESH Program inclusive of technical and administrative aspects.

    + Helps prepare and implement Safety and Health Management Plans, associated plans and procedures, and training program.

    + Provides input to Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, Commissioning, and other groups to assure that safety and health requirements are integrated within project planning and execution.

    + Interprets safety and health requirements and provides comprehensive assistance on plan preparation, risk assessment, and ESH program execution.

    + Research moderately complex issues and regulatory requirements and prepares documentation and reports.

    + Provides support and guidance for safety studies, risk assessments, and program reviews and audits.

    + Participates in emergency response and incident investigation and resolution. Interfaces and communicates with stakeholders and helps resolve their concerns.

    + Participates in meetings with customers, team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

    + Conducts ESH inspections and monitoring to identify hazards and risks, evaluate controls and corrective actions, and assess compliance with contract, regulatory, project, and Bechtel requirements.

    # Education and Experience Requirements:

    + A Master of Science degree (or equivalent) in occupational safety, health, or a science-related discipline from an accredited university or college with 6 or more years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in one of the same disciplines with 8 or more years of relevant experience; or an Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in one of the same disciplines with 10 or more years of relevant experience; or 12 or more years of relevant safety or health experience

    # Required Knowledge and Skills:

    + Ability to research and comprehend organizational and regulatory requirements.

    + Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    + Computer skills for preparing presentations, data management, and report preparation.

    + Analytical skills related to sampling, monitoring, and recordkeeping.

    + Adaptable and able to work outdoors in a field environment under various weather conditions.

    + Ability to support multiple work shifts, as needed, and a wide range of tasks.

    + Demonstrated interest, training, and experience in applied sciences.

    + Knowledge and experience with ISO 45001 Management System standards.

    + Specialized technical skills and knowledge related to an applicable safety or health discipline.

    + Broad technical knowledge, science skills, and technical writing abilities
