**Schedule:** Part Time
**Shift** : Tuesday and Friday 3:00am – 11:00am and an additional shift during the week for cleaning and organizing.

The role you’ll contribute:
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nutrition Services, this position is responsible for receipt, distribution, and safety of all department deliveries. To this end, this position:
Receives and inspects all deliveries for quantity, quality, and accuracy,
Oversees safe storage of all items according to industry and department standards,
Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of all storage areas,
Maintains adequate amounts of product required in the department,
Assists in the inventory process, including issuing items, updating inventory information, and ordering supplies, as assigned,
Consistently maintains communication with the Assistant Director and other members of the Nutrition Services Management Team to ensure availability of needed products and to address all issues of concern, and
Inventories and stocks Café Metro and patient nourishment areas throughout the hospital, as assigned.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
• Ensures compliance to department policies and procedures and guidelines to affect compliance to state, federal, and regulatory standards, including, but not limited to:
o HACCP Program
o Sanitation and Safety Inspections, and
o Temperature Logs.
• Receives and stocks foods and supplies according to invoice in adherence to safety and sanitary regulations, including compliance industry temperature specifications, to assure that safe, sanitary, and top-quality food and supplies are well organized and readily available for food production and service.
• Orders needed product to appropriately replenish inventory.
• Rotates fresh produce and dairy product as needed and discards as necessary.
• Examines deliveries upon arrival for damage, inaccuracies, shortages, inferior quality, cleanliness, etc. Reports discrepancies or questions to management before accepting or signing for products.
• Adheres to established department/industry standards for proper storage and dating of received items within established timeframe(s).
• Assists Assistant Director in the inventory, ordering and invoicing processes as directed.
• Pulls freezer and dry storage items in an efficient, timely manner, maintaining adequate supply in all designated areas consistently.
• Places orders with vendors, as assigned.
• Supervises and participates in regular cleaning of the storerooms, freezers, walk-in refrigerators, patient nourishment areas, and all other storage areas.
• Ensures proper disposal of all cardboard boxes, trash, and garbage.
• Practices proper sanitation procedures according to established regulations in all phases of the work program to assure safe, sanitary food service to all patients and other patrons.
• Keeps all work areas neat, clean, organized, and sanitized.

**Minimum qualifications** :
High School Diploma preferred
Stockroom experience preferred
