**Schedule:** Full-Time Days

**Shift** :

+ 4 days a week - Monday - Friday hours 9 am to 5:30 pm. (occasionally 6 am to 2:30pm)

+ Every 5th weekend Sat. and Sun. Hours are 6 am to 5:30 pm on weekend shifts

You will be responsible for:

+ Prepares hot food according to standardized recipes in the correct amounts for patients, staff and cafeteria.

+ Displays goods decision-making, excellent communication skills, and a professional manner in all aspects of work.

+ Utilizes and manages resources appropriately and ensures food safety is performed at all times.

+ Performs areas sanitation tasks including cleaning of all cooking equipment and work stations.

+ Rotates stock to ensure standards are being met. Labels and dates food items according to procedure.

+ Initiates and implements new recipe ideas for catering and cafeteria.

+ Maintains a high degree of initiative to prevent waste and makes effective use of leftovers.

+ Continually evaluates ways to control food and supply costs.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

+ High School Diploma or Equivalent

+ Experience with healthcare cooking _Preferred_

+ Previous food service experience _Preferred_

+ ServSafe Certification _Preferred_
