Heartland AEA has a full-time position available for the 2025-26 school year, based out of the Indianola Office, Johnston Office, or Knoxville Office serving students in the Indianola Community School District. The current assignment would serve Laura Ingalls Wilder Elementary School (K-5), Indianola Middle School (6-8), and Indianola High School, (9-12).

This position will have a 192-day contract and will provide services that assist parents and professionals in meeting the educational and social/emotional/behavioral and mental health needs of children and youth and will include Child Find responsibilities within a RtI model.

Qualifications:

Qualified applicants must be appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners, having a Professional Service License (or have the ability to obtain a license) and have a post-master's level of professional training in an approved school psychology training program with institutional recommendations. Prefer applicants who have a specialist degree or master's plus 30 hours and a desire to work within a RtI/MTSS model. Bilingual abilities are a plus, but not required. Qualified candidates should have an understanding of function of behavior and best practices in instruction for behavior.
