    Summary

    Serves as the primary customer contact for SRP Commercial Service’s diverse telecommunications offerings from wireless site development to dark fiber licensing. Responsible for consulting with prospective and existing customers, assessing technical and business requirements, and orchestrate the successful completion of projects that drive both customer goals and revenue growth for SRP. Manage cell site entitlement and fiber deployments. Requires knowledge of cellular network deployment, wireless site construction principles and process, fiber architecture, design and implementation.

    What You'll Do

    + Performs technical support of business development activities by consulting with prospective customers, assessing customer requirements and analyzing conceptual designs and solutions.

    + Contributes to the preparation of Master License Agreements, site license agreements, non-disclosure agreements, product orders, and quotes with a specific understanding of unique circumstances concerning telecommunications implementation on electric and water infrastructure.

    + Initiates and reviews site and network drawings and plans from internal and external engineering, design and construction groups to ensure accuracy and conformance with existing policies.

    + Monitors and manages project plans that coordinate the tasks, activities and changing requirements of various parties (internal departments, customers, vendors, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders).

    + Supports and participates in trade shows, exhibits and other sales, marketing and customer-related events.

    + Prepares and presents zoning applications in accordance with local municipal ordinances.

    + Thorough knowledge of all phases of customer dark fiber implementation processes.

    + Frequent travel which may occasionally be out-of-town.

    + Gathers and applies competitive industry intelligence, such as industry trends, market conditions, mergers and acquisitions.

    + Serves as liaison among internal groups and with customers as necessary to reach overall project milestones.

    What It Takes To Succeed

    + Extensive contact with external customers and vendors to provide tailored solutions that encompass technical feasibility, pricing, and meeting SRP’s goals.

    + Exceptional customer service skills. Must be able to act as the "face of SRP and SRP Telecom department" and exhibit J.D. Power Award level of service and professionalism.

    + Economic and business development/marketing skills, with a focus on the telecom industry.

    + Knowledge of all phases of wireless carrier network deployment processes.

    + Deep understanding of dark fiber licensing. and establishing all legal documents necessary for the use of SRP’s fiber optic network.

    + Demonstrated project management and organizational skills. with the ability to shift between tactical operations to strategy concepts.

    + Experience in team-based organizations and working on multiple tasks simultaneously under minimal supervision. Must be extremely customer-focused, self-directed and motivated by the opportunity to create solutions for customers while adding value to the community.

    + Excellent Microsoft Office spreadsheet, word processing, database customer relationship management (CRM) and presentation application skills. Experience with GIS systems highly desirable with special emphasis on ESRI ArcView and Smallworld.

    + Oral and written communication skills, with particular emphasis on formal and informal presentation skills.

    + The ability to communicate with people of varying degrees of technical literacy up to C-Level executives is imperative.

    Experience

    • For a Level 1 (Associate), a minimum of no previous years of experience to two years related experience is required (if no degree, four-six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling four-six years). • For a Level 2 (Journey), a minimum of two years of experience to five years related experience is required (if no degree, six-nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling six-nine years). • For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required (if no degree, nine years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling nine years).

    Education

    A bachelor’s degree related to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

     

    Hybrid Workplace

     

    SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
