    What You’ll Do as a Retail Route Merchandiser:

    + Responsible for loading, delivering, and merchandising of items such as: soft drinks, non-carbonated drinks, coffee products, cups, condiments, snack items, fresh food, and sundries to customer's place of business contracted by Five Star.

    + Replenishes market and vending items, cleans, and sanitizes all vending /micro market equipment and display/checkout areas, inventories market and vending items, and collects all cash/coins within designated retail markets and vending locations

    + Rotates stock to ensure first-in and first-out product utilization in reach-in coolers, on shelves, coffee racks, and in vending machines in designated retail markets and vending locations.

    + Assists company management with communication to customers of new products or services.

    + Responsible for setting up merchandise and sales promotion displays. Issues sales promotion materials to customers.

    + Responsible for executing all company plan-o-grams and promotions.

    General Requirements:

    + Must be able to lift 50lbs+; on a repetitive basis and have the ability to reach, bend, stoop on a frequent basis.

    + Must be at least 21 years old (DOT) and have a valid driver's license.

    + Must be able to consent to a pre-employment background check.

    + Must be able to consent to a drug screen.

    + Ability to follow workplace safety policies and guidelines.

    Job Summary:

    As a Route Driver/Merchandiser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery and restocking of our products to various customer locations. You will be responsible for driving a company vehicle along a designated route, building strong relationships with our clients, and maintaining the presentation and functionality of vending equipment. Your proactive approach will help enhance customer satisfaction and drive repeat business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Deliver and merchandise product to client locations along a designated route.

     

    - Load and unload products from the delivery vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.

     

    - Maintain an accurate inventory of products; ensure proper stock levels at client locations.

     

    - Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer service.

     

    - Monitor equipment for compliance with health and safety standards; report any maintenance issues.

     

    - Assist with plan-o-gram execution and ensure appealing product displays.

     

    - Collect payments, manage cash, and maintain records of transactions as required.

     

    - Operate the delivery vehicle in a safe and responsible manner; follow all traffic laws and company policies.

     

    - Assist with route planning and scheduling as needed.

     

    - Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and objectives.

    Qualifications:

    - High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

     

    - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

     

    - Previous experience as a driver, route salesman, or in a customer service role is preferred.

     

    - Strong organizational and time-management skills.

     

    - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

     

    - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

     

    - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.

     

    - Basic math skills and experience handling cash transactions.
