Summary:

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the security and well-being of billions of users worldwide. As a manager in Data Security, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing cryptographic solutions that protect user data across Meta's infrastructure and family of products.

Required Skills:

Software Engineering Management, Data Security Responsibilities:

1. Support, grow, and lead a high performing team responsible for developing and implementing cryptographic solutions that protect the data of 3+ billion users

2. Design and build secure systems that utilize advanced cryptographic techniques, such as encryption, digital signatures, and key management, to safeguard user data across Meta's infrastructure and family of products

3. Manage the best software engineers in the world, including helping to hire and grow the team

4. Support performance management process to recognize high performance and support those who are struggling

5. Advocate for the team's technical interests and needs

6. Develop durable relationships and work cross-functionally with many partners across organizations and functions, and as a result, increase the impact of the team's work

Minimum Qualifications:

7. 8+ years, or PhD + 4 years, of software engineering work experience, including hands on technical management

8. 2+ years of experience building, leading, and managing software engineering teams within an engineering organization

9. BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience

10. Demonstrated experience working with many cross functional partners and managing programs that require management team support and buy-in

11. Experience providing technical leadership and guidance, and thinking strategically and analytically to solve problems

12. Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management

14. Experience working with any of the following areas: secrets, key management, public-key infrastructure, cryptography, credentials, and access management

Public Compensation:

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
