    Job Description

    The Associate Director s the technology solution owner, business relationship manager, and portfolio manager for Market Access function, with focus on Executive and Field insight solutions for US Market Access leadership. The MA Solutions lead is expected to lead a team of Delivery Leads, Project Managers, and Business Analysts to identify and deliver the strategic and tactical needs of the Market Access Insights, Marketing, Area/Field and Leadership stakeholders.

     

    This role is responsible for proactively working with business leaders and their staff to document business strategies, financial, analytical and operational demands, provide appropriate technology consultation, guide cross-functional business and BTS stakeholders, in order to successfully influence/develop Market Access capabilities in US Commercial organization. Additionally, the potential candidate will liaise with Market Access 360/GTN platform lead, Channel center of excellence lead and MABI center teams, and have oversight to all implementation activities within the portfolio and is expected to proactively identify areas of opportunity, process improvements, and cost efficiencies across these technology solutions.

     

    To be successful, the candidate is expected to have techno-functional expertise within healthcare data ecosystem across Contracting, Trade, Payer/PBM, Provider data solutions. Success of the candidate will be measured based on BTS’s performance to strategic roadmap, timely management of risks, development insights related to industry trends and benchmarks, and management of opportunities for improvement.

    Responsibilities

    + Program Management and Accountability:

    + Collaborate with cross-functional Business and BTS stakeholders to successfully plan and deliver strategic programs for US Market Access.

    + Establishes periodic business reviews with key stakeholders, executive sponsors, and working team members to share program oversight, timeline & budget tracking, and progress updates. Manage department budget of >$1.5MM and an IT investment budget of $3MM to $5MM.

    + Techno-Functional Consulting & Influence:

    + Builds expertise within healthcare data ecosystem across claims, formulary, provider & plan affiliations, 340B, contract & rebate processes & vendors

    + Uses technical consulting skills, data/domain knowledge, expertise and collaboration to translate business requirements to functional requirements for technology delivery team.

    + Ensure that systems are architected in a way that results in technology synergies and simplified integration to help manage multi-vendor relationships and Home Office Data Integrations; collaborate with business to adjust BTS roadmap, identify and champion process improvement opportunities.

    + Liaison Relationship Building:

    + Effectively work with Director and VP level business leaders across Market Access Sales, Marketing, Population Health, Trade, Medical Affairs, Finance and Analytics to drive for results.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree with 9 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 8 years’ experience; PhD with 4 years’ experience

    + A relevant bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, data science, business administration or a related discipline. Master’s degree is highly preferred.

    + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build trust, listen, and ask effective questions.

     

    Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, leadership, and ability to influence executives.

     

    Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor other managers.

     

    + Innovative thinking and the ability to leverage past experience to be successful in an entrepreneurial environment.

     

    Interest in technology trends and application of technology to improve end user’s experience.

     

    Proven track record of effective project leadership and positive results. Ability to self-manage time and priorities.

     

    + Working knowledge of IT pricing and contracting practices.

     

    Negotiation with IT suppliers and Marketing Agencies.

     

    Strong analysis and analytical skills. Must be comfortable with ambiguity; demonstrate problem solving and creative thinking skills, and ability to lead development of roadmaps and plans.

     

    Financial acumen.

     

    + Expertise within healthcare data ecosystem across claims, formulary, provider & plan affiliations, 340B, contract & rebates data, IRA policies and EHR systems.

    + Understands the pharmaceutical market including role of providers, patients, payers, distributors and policy makers.
