CACI is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the SEC Reporting Group within the Corporate Accounting team at our Reston, VA headquarters. Reporting to the Executive Director, Financial Reporting and SEC Compliance, this role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations, as well as maintaining strong internal controls. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in preparing and reviewing SEC filings, supporting quarterly and annual financial reporting, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
This position operates within a **hybrid work model,** requiring employees to be present in the **Reston, VA office three (3) days per week.** The remaining two days may be worked remotely, allowing for a balance between in-person collaboration and independent work from home. On-site days are crucial for team meetings, client interactions, and fostering a cohesive work culture. Remote days offer flexibility and the opportunity for focused work without interruptions. Candidates should be comfortable with this arrangement and possess the ability to maintain high productivity and communication standards in both office and remote settings. The specific in-office days will be determined based on team needs and company-wide coordination.
Responsibilities:
+ Prepare and review financial statements, footnote disclosures, and MD&A for quarterly SEC filings (10-Q/Ks), including XBRL tagging.
+ Prepare monthly consolidated internal financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, tax, legal, investor relations, and external auditors, to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting.
+ Assist in executing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.
+ Prepare financial data for senior management, board of directors, and investor presentations.
+ Stay informed on evolving accounting standards and SEC regulations, proactively implementing relevant changes.
+ Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and optimize efficiency within the SEC reporting function.
+ Perform additional duties as needed to support the SEC reporting function and broader financial reporting team.
Qualifications:
_Required:_
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting or a related field.
+ 3+ years of accounting experience with required financial reporting expertise (SEC reporting experience preferred).
+ Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and internal controls.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight while managing deadlines.
+ Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to prioritize assignments and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
+ Experience collaborating within a team-oriented setting while managing complex projects.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
+ U.S. Citizenship Required.
_Desired:_
+ A combination of public accounting (Big 4) and industry experience.
+ SEC reporting experience, including preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures, highly desirable.
+ Experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems/tools (e.g., Costpoint, Workiva, research software, etc.)
+ Government contracting experience, particularly in financial reporting.
+ Active CPA highly desirable.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$59,600 - $122,100
