At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
What You Will Do:
This Director-level (M7) position reports to the Senior Director of Program Digital Services (PDS) within Digital Technology. In this role, you will provide senior leadership and management for the Classified Infrastructure Services organization. Responsibilities include technical planning, long-term budget planning, technical debt management, solution catalog inputs, and support daily operations. The goal is to deliver stable, proactive, secure, and supportable operational environments. The PDS team establishes the secure digital foundation for program success across all Strategic Business Units (SBUs), delivering and managing integrated and secure solutions in areas such as network engineering, storage, system administration, high-performance computing, hyperconverged infrastructure, and advanced system architecture.
The PDS Classified Infrastructure Services Director will lead these disciplines to deliver business value and meet the needs of Raytheon and RTX. This will be achieved by developing and deploying talent and technical capabilities, while strengthening relationships with internal and external peers to ensure the holistic success of the DT organization in meeting strategic digital transformation objectives. This leader will also coordinate with organizations across the enterprise to support the OneRTX roadmaps.
Primary responsibilities include managing and developing a team of 120 members and setting technology direction based on engineering and program needs determined by front-end business architects. The role involves seeking and developing synergies between multiple groups: Classified Networking, Data Center operations, and High-Performance Computing. The goal is to drive standards and proactively innovate solutions in response to evolving security requirements. This position requires vision, strategic planning, and the creation of operational metrics to inform long-term capital investments. This approach will provide Strategic Business Units with the clarity needed regarding options, costs, and solutions for informed investment decisions.
Significant focus will be on ensuring alignment with key partners, including peers at Collins and Pratt & Whitney, various engineering disciplines, Digital functional peers, program and SBU leadership, Digital leadership, Global Security Services (GSS) Cyber and program security teams, as well as key suppliers and vendors. This leader will participate in Enterprise councils to represent business requirements and influence priorities and effective collaboration. This leader will also work directly with customers and GSS to align on program security requirements, expectations and any required mitigation and remediation activities.
The leader will speak as cognizant authority representing the CIS disciplines communicating the capabilities of the organization in a team support model integrated with CDS, Strategic Business Unit teams, Architecture and external teams including Infrastructure Services and Digital Solutions.
This will be an on-premise role with the preferred location being in Tucson, Arizona. We will consider applicants with strong preference to remain in optional Raytheon facility locations such as Southern California (El Segundo/Fullerton, CA); North Texas (McKinney/Richardson); or Aurora, Colorado.
Relocation support will be available to the applicant as needed to move to the preferred location (Tucson, AZ) only as business need dictates.
