    Koniag Information Technology Solutions (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Acquisition Specialist to support KITS and our government customer. This is a remote opportunity.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    + In coordination with Acquisition Planning activities and with awareness of contract periods of performance within Acquisition Approval Requests (AARs), the contractor will help plan AARs across the fiscal year in efficient ways such that AARs may get approved before the deadlines necessary for contract completion. Such planning will move toward system or system component level AARs where possible.

    + Prepare, review and edit all AAR requests for accuracy and completion; These reviews must be completed within the processing time of 15 days. The contractor shall work with Service area SMEs and financial contacts to ensure all necessary components of the AAR package are submitted and complete.

    + Route the AAR to all approval parties for signature/approval. The contractor shall fully process up to 100 AARs annually.

    + Update and maintain the AAR SharePoint site.

    + Maintain and update the AAR template, ensuring its updates follow OCIO’s departmental guidance.

    + The contractor must maintain historical files of AARs, including clearance forms, signature pages, and other pertinent information.

    + Update Spend Plan lines in the system for AAR-related data.

    + Reporting the results back to the relevant members of the team

    + Assisting in the gathering of information from a variety of customer resources to document CEC operational processes to include obtaining information, gathering statistics, communicating requirements and aiding with all aspects of the CEC IT Investment Management Program.

    Basic Qualifications and Skills Required:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.

    + 2-4 years of experience directly supporting AARs or contracting for a large corporation/agency.

    Leadership:

    + Displays a positive attitude.

    + Demonstrates flexibility in day-to-day work.

    + Sets high standards of performance for oneself.

    + Is proactive with internal and external teams to stay abreast of the needs for each requirement.

    Teamwork:

    + Establishes harmonious working relationships with team members.

    + Appreciates each team member's contributions and values each individual member.

    Client Management:

    + Values internal and external clients and responds in a timely manner.

    + Establishes effective working relationship with clients.

    + Follows established communication guidelines.

    + Uses good judgment in what and how to communicate with clients

    + Effective problem-solving skills demonstrated through related work experience.

    + Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

    + Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government background investigation (BI).

    Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

    + Understanding of government contract processes and procedures.
