Fabrication and Welding, Unit Supervisor - Third Shift** **(7:30 PM - 6:00 AM), responsible for overseeing and managing day-to-day operational activities and Lean Manufacturing practices. Manufacturing large scale wastewater Treatment Plant equipment (Carbone & Stainless Steel)

This role ensures adherence to production schedules, implementation of lean manufacturing practices, and effective inventory control. Supervisor plays a key role maintaining high-quality standards, and promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Responsibilities:

Lead, overseeing and coordinating staff and schedules - roughly 25 direct reports

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of fabrication and welding teams to meet production goals and quality standards.

Working knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.

Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure material availability and accuracy, minimizing downtime and excess stock.

Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback to employees

Identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols

Managing budget and expenses

Conducting regular meetings and providing updates to management

Staying updated on industry trends and implementing best practices

Conducting regular equipment and facility maintenance checks

Quality Control:

Implementing and maintaining quality control measures

Ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations

Conducting quality inspections and addressing any issues or concerns

Implementing corrective actions to improve product quality

Team Management:

Understand team dynamics and effective management practices. Supervisors should be adept at balancing individual tasks with overseeing team performance.

Conflict Resolution: Ability to address conflicts within the team professionally and constructively.

Motivational Skills: Inspire and motivate team members to achieve their best.

Supervisors often encounter changing priorities and unexpected challenges. Being adaptable and flexible is crucial.

Decision Making: Make informed decisions based on organizational goals and guidelines.

Qualifications:

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. In-depth understanding of inventory management principles and practices.

Lean Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement practices

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred: SAP and Workday experience

Preferred: bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least 4 years experience, with at least 1 year experience as a people manager or equivalent work experience that provides exposure to fundamental theories, principles, and concepts
