    Description:

    Position Purpose:

    Frontline, department-based; Supervises daily functions of assigned department; Provides clear direction & manages / advances people, processes, structures &/or programs that support direct / indirect care. The leader demonstrates behaviors in alignment with culture & creates / supports comprehensive strategies & measures progress to achieve desired outcomes.

    What you will do:

    + The Facility Manager position was established for the purpose/s of providing leadership oversight and hands on maintenance services and overall operations with specific responsibility for ensuring completion of assigned work order projects and continued operation of all assets falling under the maintenance shop scope of responsibility; performing a wide variety of skilled maintenance activities (e. g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, alarms – Direct Digital Control, Fire System Control, Medical Gas System, Emergency Generator Systems, Computer Monitoring Systems, etc.) and any other duties as directed. Supports Capital Construction as needed.

    + Responsible for management of Facilities support services and supervision of Engineering support staff, which includes management of daily operations, process or program design, improvement, implementation and maintenance, financial and human resource management, strategic planning, and quality assessment and improvement. Continually evaluates progress toward objectives and maintains efficient and effective day-to-day operations.

    + Works independently and interdependently within the hospital network to accomplish efficient, cost effective, quality patient care. Supports and promotes the vision, mission, and strategic plans of Trinity Health.

    Minimum** **Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline with three (3) years progressive experience in the field **OR** High School graduate or recognized equivalent plus formal trade/vocational school training with five (5) **years** related experience.

    + Certification / licensure as required by regulatory agency.

    + Participates in orientation and continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

    Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

    + Advanced degree is a plus/requirement, depending on specific service needs and/or requirements.

    + Ideally the candidate will have three (3) to five (5) years of supervisory experience OR an AAS degree in an appropriate discipline with six (6) plus years progressive experience in the field will be considered based on specific department needs and/or requirements.

    + Ability to follow tasks through to completion, understand & relate to complex ideas / concepts, remember multiple tasks & regimens over long periods of time & work on concurrent tasks / projects. Frequent

    + Ability to read small print, hear sounds & voice / speech patterns, give / receive instructions & other verbal communications (in-person & / or over the phone / computer / device / equipment assigned) with some background noise. Frequent

    + Perform manual dexterity activities & / or grasping / handling. Frequent

    + Ability to climb, kneel, crouch & / or operate foot controls. Occasional

    + Use a computer / other technology. Continuous

    + Sit with the ability to vary / adjust physical position or activity. Frequent

    + Maintain a safe working environment & use available personal protective equipment (PPE). Continuous
