Description:
At **Saint Francis Hospital** the Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting physicians while providing exceptional treatment to patients with a variety of medical conditions.
What you will do
+ Collect and report patient information and data
+ Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
+ Patient Transport
+ Collection of specimens
+ Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
+ Deliver ice and beverages to patients
+ As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
Minimum Qualifications
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience
+ Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required
+ Certification: BLS certification required
+ Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred
+ Ability to pass drug screening and background check
