    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Training Development Manager, presents, and revises clinical training courses and materials utilized to ensure a skilled, competent and trained workforce. This position will work closely with business partners, clinical leadership and employees to ensure course content is relevant and effectively presented to staff; and that the content of training is integrated into clinical staff’s execution of their duties and responsibilities. The Training and Development Manager maintains expert level competency in Wheeler’s learning management system and creating online training, running reports, and supporting staff with any questions on use.

     

    Salary $77,000

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

    Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family, Psychology or related field plus 3 years of progressively responsible clinical experience. Must have experience developing and presenting trainings to adult learners.

     

    Thorough knowledge of and the ability to provide training on the principles and practices used in clinical documentation, preparation and documentation of treatment plans, DLA-20, and behavioral health therapeutic practices.

     

    Ability to assess identified competencies of clinical staff.

     

    Skill and ability to develop and present technical material in a clear and concise manner.

     

    Ability to demonstrate strong clinical diagnostic skills and competencies.

     

    Working knowledge of electronic health records and the ability to develop skill in utilizing and training in the navigation of the agency’s EHR.

     

    The ability to work with a variety of systems, programs, and software.

    Credential(s) Required: CT DPH clinical licensure required (LMSW, LPCA, LMFTA, LCSW, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist license)

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Supports all aspects of the learning management system, including but not limited to updating training plans, uploading courses, ensure hierarchy reflects accurately with the organizational structure, runs weekly, monthly course completions reports.

     

    Responds promptly and accurately to all training record requests during Federal, State, and licensing audits, ensuring up-to-date documentation is provided in compliance with regulatory standards

     

    Collaborates with the Account Success Manager, HRIS Manager, HRIS Analyst Manager, Health Center Administrative Manager, and other administrative leaders to ensure compliance with training requirements mandated by all relevant regulatory entities.

     

    Answers all incoming calls and manages the Relias mailbox, ensuring timely and professional communication

     

    Generates and reviews weekly and monthly reports to identify staff requiring BLS/CPR certification updates; distributes certification links as needed, follows up to ensure timely enrollment, and ensures all staff maintain current and compliant BLS/CPR credentials

     

    Designs, develops, and delivers high-quality interactive training courses tailored to diverse adult learning styles, including but not limited to the organization’s Annual Mandatory Training, orientation programs, and Toxicology screening. Coordinates follow-up with staff and program managers to ensure training completion and compliance. Presents during new hire first day orientation as requested.

     

    Manage comprehensive training programs in the areas including collaborative documentation, development and documentation of treatment plans, and DLA-20.

     

    Works with departments to ensure all newly hired clinical staff is at acceptable competency levels by the conclusion of their introductory period.

     

    Coordinates the training of clinical staff to ensure their proficiency in the use of the Clinic’s electronic health record (EHR). Provides remedial training for staff in the use of the EHR as required.

     

    Develops and prepares course materials and competency assessment handouts for trainings in collaboration with , business partners and stakeholders.

     

    Trains staff utilizing a variety of learning styles and presents in a clear and concise manner.

     

    Utilizes feedback from student evaluations to modify trainings as needed.

     

    Coaches staff to ensure a usability of training fundamentals.

     

    Consults with the appropriate business partners and stakeholders regarding prospective new training classes.

     

    Develops and maintains proficiency in using Wheeler’s learning management system, include utilizing training software (such as Relias).

     

    Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
