Job Description
The successful candidate will be effective in the recruitment and retention of students and the development of partnerships with industry and other educational institutions. Additional responsibilities of this faculty position are listed below which will include teaching graduate courses. Course delivery may include face-to-face, online, and hybrid approaches based on student needs.
+ Develop and manage approved program coursework required to obtain professional competencies in the area of clinical research for medical products, including the overall flow and completeness of the program.
+ Lead periodic review of Applied Clinical Research curriculum, recommend and obtain approval of curriculum changes.
+ Oversee the development and implementation of online clinical research courses.
+ Teach and provide leadership in the identification and recruitment of working professionals as instructors that will develop, deliver and update program coursework.
+ Maintain the program’s accreditation by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
+ Prepare and manage marketing materials in support of the MedTech programs.
+ Coordinate and lead recruitment activities for new students including company meetings, information sessions and other activities as deemed appropriate.
+ Serve as a faculty advisor for students.
+ Serve as ex officio member of external advisory board.
+ Serve as chair of admissions committee for the Applied Clinical Research program applicants.
+ Report on program activities to the Dean of the College of Science and Engineering.
+ Coordinate and oversee culminating experiences and internships/work experiences for students in the program.
+ Engage medical device companies and research institutions to participate in annual career fair and networking events.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Significant experience working in clinical research for a medical product manufacturer, research institution, or Food & Drug Administration with increasing responsibility to at least a senior management position.
+ Master’s degree in applicable discipline with direct experience in medical device and pharmaceutical clinical research **or** Bachelor’s degree in the applicable discipline plus significant progressive leadership of management experience in a clinical research profession.
+ Demonstrated collaborative management style.
+ Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Strong organizational skills
+ Evidence of ability to lead a team oriented approach to development, delivery and assessment of curriculum
+ Evidence of current professional intellectual involvement as demonstrated by public speaking or publication in relevant journals
+ Doctoral degree
+ Prior undergraduate or graduate-level faculty appointment including experience with online course delivery
+ Evidence of personnel management experience
+ Potential for successful collaborative and/or interdisciplinary work in the MedTech Programs.
