Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientedSenior Project Manager, Quality Systemsto join our dynamic team at a leading third-party logistics (3PL) company. This role is responsible for translating customer requirements into clear, compliant internal documentation and employee training programs.
The ideal candidate will lead the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality and training documentation, ensuring organizational alignment with customer and regulatory standards. This position demands strong project management and technical writing skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and a proactive approach to quality assurance and process training. The ideal candidate must be based in the Indianapolis area and be willing to travel up to 50% of the time. This role reports to the RVP of Operations.
Responsibilities:
+ Develop, implement, and maintain quality system documentation based on customer requirements and industry best practices.
+ Create and manage employee training documents to support operational excellence and compliance.
+ Design and oversee retraining programs to ensure continuous employee education and adherence to process changes.
+ Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, Quality, HR, Training, and Compliance) to align documentation and training materials with business objectives.
+ Act as the primary liaison for quality-related documentation projects across multiple sites and customers.
+ Monitor and report progress of documentation and training projects, ensuring on-time delivery and effectiveness.
+ Conduct gap analyses and audits to identify improvement opportunities in training and quality documentation systems.
+ Drive process improvement initiatives within the scope of quality systems and project management.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Business, Quality Management, Technical Writing, or related field preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in project management and technical writing, preferably within a 3PL, logistics, or regulated industry.
+ Strong knowledge of quality systems, document control, and training program development. (ISO, TQM, etc)
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to translate complex requirements into user-friendly documents.
+ Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar).
+ PMP certification or formal project management training preferred.
+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Travel
+ Location preference Indianapolis, IN
+ Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% domestically to support multi-site initiatives and customer engagements.
