Overview:
The Associate Director of Sales is responsible for supporting the Director of Sales in achieving revenue goals through strategic sales planning, team leadership and sales efforts. This position will carry a sales goal and plays a key role in managing client relationships and CVC for citywide groups, developing new business opportunities and mentoring the sales team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Collaborate with the Director of Sales to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with hotel revenue goals and growth of the group contribution.
Work closely with the Revenue Management and Operations teams to ensure alignment and cohesiveness while maximizing sales effectiveness, drive daily DBR.
Engage and responsible for generating revenue in the Citywide Market and additional Verticals for groups 86+ rooms on Peak.
Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies for Need Periods, Current Year, and Future Years.
Act as a role model for team in proactively managing high value accounts, maintaining strong relationships, and identifying growth opportunities for the group market/ team.
Attend Industry Events and represent Westin Nashville when attending and traveling individually.
Local community involvement with local networking chapters to help foster new relationships for the Hotel and with neighboring hotels.
Assist in viewing projections / wash and any additional information needed for forecasting.
Team Leadership & Support:
Support DOS and serve as acting Director of Sales in their absence.
Lead and support a team of sales managers in the execution of group, and corporate sales initiatives and drive a positive and prosperous relationship with catering and event services
Assist in setting team goals, performance metrics, and training programs to foster professional development and accountability.
Oversee preparation of proposals, contracts, and presentations; ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and brand standards.
Provide training, coaching and performance feedback for new and existing team.
Assist in hiring and development of team sales action plans, forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.
Responsibility for regular Meetings: Lead weekly Sales or Tentative meetings in collaboration with the Director of Sales. Set the agenda to include updates on financial performance, pipeline discussion, objectives, industry trends, upcoming group/city-wide activity, and sales training topics to ensure alignment and engagement across the team.
Sales Team Training, Motivation & Culture: In collaboration with the Director of Sales, plan quarterly training and team culture calendar. Present a plan that includes any needed skill-based training, market updates, and professional development, as well as celebratory or team-building events to morale and retention.
