Customer Service Representative - Automotive Manufacturing

Our client, an Automotive Fastener Manufacturer, is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused CSR to manage day-to-day customer operations for our Tier-1 automotive clients. The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is a key liaison between our fastener manufacturing operations and our Tier-1 customers. This role is responsible for managing high-volume, high-value accounts with precision, professionalism, and urgency. The CSR will handle order processing, communication, issue resolution, and account coordination to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, manufacturing knowledge, and a proactive, customer-first mindset.

What’s the Job?

+ Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Tier-1 customers, ensuring clear and timely communication.

+ Process and manage customer orders, releases, forecasts, and change requests in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Plex, or similar

+ Coordinate with production, planning, quality, shipping, and logistics teams to meet delivery commitments.

+ Prepare reports on account status, delivery performance, and open issues for internal and customer reviews

+ Monitor and communicate order status, lead times, and inventory availability.

What’s Needed?

+ 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment serving Tier-1 or OEM customers; fastener or automotive industry experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of order fulfillment, ERP systems, EDI, and logistics processes. [

+ Customer-focused with a high sense of urgency and professionalism.

+ Experience with IATF 16949 quality systems and customer-specific requirements – Nice to have

+ Familiarity with PPAP, APQP, and other automotive documentation processes - Nice to have.

+ Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/German) is a plus.
