Overview:
Responsible for facilitating complex projects in the Corporate Technologies area, from proposal through post implementation. Manages meetings with lines of business to identify their requirements in how an application integrates into the technology environment; understands vendor capabilities for solution, provides feedback and refine requirements as needed. Serves as project lead to ensure test plans and specifications are completed in a timely basis and project meets established milestones. Considered Subject Matter Expert in assigned systems within 18 months of being assigned.
Primary Responsibilities** **:
• Documentation & Specification Development: Prepare and maintain detailed functional and technical specifications, test plans, test cases, and ensure accurate execution of test cases for assigned projects.
• Research & Analysis: Focus on the strategy around technology and how Applications are being utilized for efficiency and productivity. Recommend approaches for automation. Conduct analysis on complex data to ensure functional design accuracy and support informed project decisions.
• Project Leadership: Serve as the functional lead on complex projects for assigned applications, including scheduling and facilitating project team meetings and distributing documentation as needed.
• Client Collaboration: Meet with business clients to discuss application changes related to enterprise-wide or business initiatives, regulatory requirements, contractual agreements, or system maintenance (BAU). Participate in design discussions, document, and deliver required functional specifications.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with lines of business to understand pain points and/or application requirements and provide feedback to ensure technology applications meet customer needs. Engage with vendor or other technologists to offer options/solutions to customer.
• Project Estimation: Coordinate estimates for large projects, providing timelines and project phase completion for assigned components.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert to consult on application impacts from enterprise-wide initiatives, including acquisitions or major product/service changes (i.e. new releases, upgrades).
• Vendor & Technical Team Collaboration: Work closely with vendors and technical teams to understand project functionality and provide insights for implementation. Understand vendor roadmap, available software functionalities, integrations and formulate recommendations for implementations focusing on value to M&T.
• Test Coordination: Serve as a Test Coordinator on large project initiatives, preparing test plans and scripts, managing, or executing test cases to verify changes and enhancements.
• Scope Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor functional specifications and change requests to ensure projects remain within scope, meet regulatory standards, and comply with Corporate Technology standards.
• Change Request Management: Ensure consistent documentation and resolution of change requests to support required products/services for business lines.
• Post-Implementation Support: Manage post-implementation feedback, resolve issues, and conduct debriefs on project timelines and financials.
• Technical Ownership: May serve as the technical owner or surrogate for applications, ensuring documentation adheres to security policies.
• Risk & Regulatory Compliance: Understand and adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, escalating risk-related issues as needed.
Education and Experience Required:
Minimum of 6 years combined higher education and/or operational/business analytics experience..

Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent software packages.
Excellent problem solving skills to assist in issue resolution.

Education and Experience Preferred:
Bachelor's degree.
Knowledge or experience utilizing business applications/systems being supported including but not limited to:
HVAC Systems
Physical Security Systems
Space Planning Systems
Digital Forensics Systems
Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature.
Advanced understanding of applications supported with a sound knowledge of interfacing/integrated applications.
Advanced knowledge and focus of the entire system to work on projects outside of normal BAU.
Ability to effectively use project management, word processing, PowerPoint and spreadsheet applications.
Familiarity with application development software and hardware platforms.
Ability to understand business lines being supported and their terminology.
Ability to effectively present to all levels of management.
Ability to coordinate between applications and business units.
Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
Ability to pivot quickly to support changing business requirements.
Ability to recognize project milestones and delivery dates.
Ability to recommend and implement solutions.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $82,783.41 - $137,972.36 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
