• SRE/ Application Production Support Engineer

    Job Description

    A large financial organization is seeking a Remote Application Production Support / SRE for a contract opportunity through the end of the year (with a likelihood for extensions into next year).

     

    This individual will be brought on to alleviate the development team by providing L3 application support and ensuring that the payment systems can keep running smoothly and reliably to help ensure that customers have minimal interruptions when making transaction

     

    Integrations

     

    Building out performance, monitoring, and logging for the applications

     

    Ensuring data flow modifying data that flows into Dynatrace/Splunk so that it can be used

     

    Creating alerts

     

    Develop automation, processes, and tools

     

    Lead initiatives to improve CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment

    Skills and Requirements

     

    5+ years of experience within application production support

     

    3+ years of development/software engineering experience within Java and/or python

     

    Dynatrace (for monitoring) AND Splunk (for logging)

     

    Set traces, metrics, alerts and logs & automation of these tasks

     

    Customizations, configurations

    AWS

    SQL Banking industry experience or specifically real time payment/transactions

     

    Familiarly with APM solutions(Application performance management (APM) solutions)

     

    Familiarity with SLAs, SLIs, SLOs,

     

    Ruby on Rails development or support experience

     

    Grafana

    Snowflake (supporting data movement application issues) null
