Job Summary and Qualifications

HCA Healthcare is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director to support the Vice President of Expanse Clinical Content in driving the execution of the Expanse Order Set Strategy. This role will focus on the clinical quality, design, implementation strategies, and optimization of HCA’s Expanse Order Set Library. The Director will be chiefly responsible for proactively evaluating where content and designs of the order set library require evolution to best serve the needs of our practicing clinicians. This work will involve extensive collaboration with clinicians, informaticists, technology experts, and leaders across the enterprise to ensure Expanse Order Sets enhance clinical workflow while following evidence-based practices established by Clinical Operations Group and Medication Management Alignment. The Director will serve as a leader and member of the Centralized Order Set team, working with build and change control/governance leads, to deliver expertise on build quality and priorities. This leader will play a large role in defining implementation strategies to support adoption at go-live. The Director will also collaborate with Change Management and Communication teams to develop and deliver messages regarding the Centralized Order Set Strategy. This position requires a strong leader with expertise in order set utilization at HCA Healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities

+ Serve as the principal executor of the clinical aspects of the Expanse order set strategy under the VP of Clinical Content

+ Drives the clinical quality of the evolving Expanse Order Set Library ensuring the library has the appropriate structure and content to serve diverse clinical needs

+ In conjunction with implementation teams, determines an implementation strategy to foster smooth end-user adoption of the Expanse Order Set Library

+ Determines build priorities with Expanse Order Set build team to ensure highest priority library sets are ready for go-lives

+ Collaborates with Change Management and Communication teams to refine and further develop the change management curriculum & strategy for order set deployment

+ Determine highest priority areas for adjustment to the Expanse Order Set Library upon go-live feedback

+ Partner with Expanse Physician Change Champion to engage our provider community before and during go-live to ensure change management and implementation strategies are successfully implemented

+ Determine how to leverage AI tools to facilitate content creation process to include but not limited to comparison, standards investigation, auditing

+ Develop success metrics for strategy working in conjunction with Process Engineering teams

Requirements

+ Bachelor’s Degree required

+ Master’s degree in relevant field (e.g. Masters in Clinical Informatics) preferred

+ 7+ years relevant experience in healthcare leadership

+ Clinical background (PA/NP/RN/RPh/PharmD)

+ EHR experience (MEDITECH, Epic, Cerner, etc.) required

+ Travel required up to 25%
