POSITION SUMMARY
This position oversees the refunds team to support the departments open credit aging inventory. This position will guide the department to attaining the predefined goals and metrics through continued education, implementing innovative processes and procedures, and collaborative efforts.
_Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards._
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
+ Three (3) years of experience in the healthcare industry and/or third-party receivables for refunds/credits
+ Two (2) years of leadership experience, as normally demonstrated through an associate supervisor or supervisor job role.
+ Demonstrated intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
+ Demonstrated ability to think analytically and conceptually.
+ Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues using strong verbal and written aptitude clearly and efficiently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
+ Master’s Degree in related field of business, data analysis or accounting.
+ Experience leading and overseeing projects.
+ Experience with credit aging analysis.
+ Extensive knowledge of clinical laboratory operations & revenue cycle management
+ Additional medical billing/insurance related experience.
+ Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10 coding, CPT coding, HCPCS coding, modifiers, and government and commercial payer guidelines.
+ Advanced working knowledge of Xifin and Microsoft excel
+ Additional related education and/or experience.
