    Sales Manager

    **Location:** Bloomington-Normal Marriott Hotel & Conference Center

    **Reports to:** Director of Sales and Marketing

    **Salary:** $53,000/yr

    We are currently seeking a highly motivated and engaging Sales Manager with experience in hotel or resort sales. This key role will proactively solicit room revenue, maximize existing accounts, and drive overall sales growth—while delivering an exceptional guest experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Proactively solicit and secure business through effective sales strategies.

    + Actively up-sell services and amenities to maximize revenue opportunities.

    + Meet or exceed personal and team sales goals.

    + Ensure seamless turnover of confirmed business to the operations team.

    + Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

    + Navigate clients through the full sales cycle: qualification, negotiation, closing, and detailing.

    + Coordinate all event logistics with clients including space, time, equipment, menus, and billing.

    Requirements

    + 1–2 years of experience in Event Services, Banquets, Hotel Sales, Marketing, or a related role.

    + High School Diploma or Equivalent; 2+ years of college or equivalent professional experience preferred.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

    + Experience with Delphi, FDC, and/or Marriott CI/TY systems is a plus.

    + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

    + Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.

    + A team-first attitude and passion for guest service excellence.
