    Description

    The Air Science & Tech (AST) team is the dedicated technology team for Amazon Air. AST is part of the Middle Mile Product and Tech organization and works with other MMPT teams (Sort Tech, Transportation Core Tech) to deliver integrated solutions for Operations.

     

    As a Salesforce Developer for the Air Science and Technology team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and delivering robust, scalable, and high-performing Salesforce solutions that meet the unique business requirements of Amazon Air. You will work alongside Product Managers, Program Managers, Software Development Managers, Software Development Engineers, and Research Scientists to help grow Amazon's air business.

    This role will be responsible for identifying internal and external solutions to business requirements, designing and setting up complex integrations into our existing Salesforce architecture and workflows, and driving seamless connectivity across tools. You will design and develop enterprise solutions across Salesforce and AWS tools, establishing efficient, scalable integrations that align with Amazon Air business development needs.

    The successful candidate will be comfortable in operating in an ambiguous space with strong technical ability, project management skills, and background in building products and APIs from the ground up. We are looking for someone with a curious mind, great attention to detail, and be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task while working on multiple projects.

     

    Key job responsibilities

     

    - Participate in technical design of Salesforce Experience Cloud features

     

    - Contribute to translation of business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform

     

    - Develop, test, and document development, integrations, and data migration elements

     

    - Follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed

     

    - Provide estimates and work breakdown structures for assigned tasks

     

    - Continuous learning of new technical and product capabilities from Salesforce and AWS, inclusive of keeping apprised of updates in each release as well as industry best practices with web development

     

    - Advanced Apex programming experience including core design patterns, limits and bulk patterns, trigger handling, asynchronous operations, integration patterns, and effective unit testing

     

    - Advanced front-end programming skills including LWC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.

     

    - Advanced knowledge of functional / technical tools including data modeling, security model, flows, custom metadata, custom settings, etc.

     

    - Knowledge of modern Salesforce DevOps best practices

     

    - Conduct development code reviews

     

    - Stay current with evolving Salesforce features and offerings

    Basic Qualifications

    - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust

     

    - Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

     

    - Bachelor's degree

     

    - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

     

    - Experience (Community) Cloud expert with 8+ years of Salesforce development experience

     

    - Expert in Lightning Design System and Lightning Web Components

     

    - Responsive Design web development with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and design systems such as SLDS, Bootstrap, and Material Design

     

    - Proficient in Salesforce development, including Salesforce CLI (DX IDE), migration tools, SOSL, SOQL, web services, app builder, and Experience Builder

     

    - Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP/Metadata, etc.)

     

    - Front-end development experience with Lightning Web Components

     

    - Knowledge of integrations, 3rd party integration tools, ETL with Salesforce

     

    - Knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, database design and software development lifecycle

     

    - Experience in Agile Methodology

     

    - Experience and exposure in Einstein and Salesforce AI product capabilities

     

    - Experience in CI/CD Salesforce services and processes

     

    - Problem-solving skills with the ability to work cross-functionally either on a team or as an individual contributor

     

    - AWS core services familiarity and hand-on experience with AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, AWS Appflow, SNS, SQS, Secrets Manager, or IAM is a must

    Preferred Qualifications

    - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

    - Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect or equivalent experience

    - Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer

    - Familiarity with Amazon’s security certification processes (Amazon Security Review / Anvil, Kale)

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
