Description
The Amazon Device Accessories team is looking for a talented, smart, experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager to help us build an exceptional and authoritative device and accessory experience. Our mission is to deliver world-class accessories that create value beyond what can be delivered by devices alone, and solutions to help customers entertain, manage, and supply the home.
Joining the Amazon Device Accessories team means partnering with a dynamic and creative group who set a high bar for innovation and success in a fast-paced and changing environment. The Senior Product Manager will play a key role in innovating the Extended Warranty program for Amazon Devices.
We expect the Senior Product Manager to be a passionate customer and category advocate within Amazon, with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task. The Senior Product Manager must be an effective negotiator, leader and communicator in working with some of Amazon’s most important partners, as well as with internal cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for consumer-facing products as well as a high level of flexibility, commitment, and a sense of humor.
The successful Senior Product Manager must be able to:
Act as the business owner for his or her categories, possessing a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact our business (entails forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the category, along with responsibility for driving strategic projects and promotions to achieve business objectives).
Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and global trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments.
Maximize Amazon’s long-term business profitability.
Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to deliver site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience.
Manage vendor relationships, including supplier/partner contracts, day-to-day relationships, and negotiate pricing and business terms.
Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external parties, while meeting tight deadlines.
Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience as a product manager or owner
- Experience owning technology products
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
