The Driver Manager requires extensive knowledge of DOT rules and regulations is required. Audit issues, compliance issues, and all regulatory rules and safeguards are mandatory. Position oversees the maintenance functions done in house on the company equipment, the lease obligations that are outsourced, the yard maintenance to keep the building functional, safe and open.

Pay: $75,000 - $90,000 annual salary (Based on experience) + bonus potential

Responsibilities:

+ Must be able to evaluate fleet needs, conditions, and trends as required.

+ The ability to coordinate with 3rd party off site vendors to ensure leased company equipment is maintained and available for daily use.

+ The ability to recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and promote or remove drivers as may become necessary is required. Process payroll functions, employee revues, and other issues relating to personnel are required.

+ Must be able to meet current shipping guidelines in regard to timeliness of delivery, and proper placement of vehicles at vendor locations. Must be able to track movement of vehicles within the system.

+ Position coordinates with all site locations throughout the company, arranging deliveries, doors requirements, dates of deliveries, return trailers and times.

+ Co-ordinates the IST schedules with shipping as well as with the store operations people in the field.

+ Experienced with trucking terminal, dispatching concepts, yard management and operations with company fleet

+ Manage operational efficiency of transportation logistics costs and service.

+ Ensure driver compliance to all company and DOT rules and regulations.

Required Qualifications

+ Position requires working knowledge of the geographical areas of operation and requires the ability to create routes and schedules to facilitate the shipment of company goods.

+ Must be knowledgeable with DOT HOS rules and regulations.

+ Must have good knowledge of company policies and be abreast of labor laws to guard against any dire consequences.

+ Associates degree. Will consider 10+ years of CDL or Transportation experience in leu of degree.

+ Previous supervisory / management position.

+ Adequate skill level to perform all computer-based functions including MS Office, Driver ELD software, video camera software and other programs as required.
