**Pay Range:** $55.75 - $93.66 per hour
Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. Summary:
This position is for a full-time Lead Enterprise Architect with 7+ years of Architect experience. Rush is seeking a Lead Infrastructure Architect to design, guide, and evolve the enterprise infrastructure technical strategy across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments. This role will drive high-impact architectural decisions, ensure infrastructure scalability and resilience, and partner cross-functionally to align technology with business objectives. Responsibilities:
• Provide architecture designs related to technologies and services within the cloud and infrastructure span of control.inn
• In collaboration with Infrastructure leadership, develop and maintain enterprise-wide infrastructure architecture standards.
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-optimized infrastructure solutions (cloud, hybrid, on-prem) that exceed application and business requirements.
• Lead architectural reviews for new platforms, applications, and services.
• Drive modernization efforts including, but not limited to cloud adoption, containerization, microservices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation
• Participating in enterprise technical strategy creation
• Maintain infrastructure technology roadmaps aligned with IT and business strategies.
• Serve as a technical advisor to leadership on emerging infrastructure trends and risks.
• Provide guidance to engineers and architects on best practices and standards.
• Partner with security, networking, and application architects/teams to ensure cohesive architecture.
• Ensure designs meet Rush’s performance, reliability, DR, and security requirements.
• Participate in and support high-priority incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Define and monitor for adherence to, infrastructure governance and technical standards.
• Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
• Stay abreast of the latest technology trends.
• Create and conduct Proof of Concepts/Value. Providing detailed recommendations to senior leadership for decision making purposes.
• Ensure high availability as well as reliability of IT systems and services.
• Focus on continual improvement through routine reviews of current processes and procedures.
• Document current and proposed future state technical architecture.
• Create presentations and documentation that tailor to senior leadership consumption. Capturing the business drivers, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), Return On Investment (ROI), and strategy alignment for proposals.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Poses active certifications in one or more of the following technologies:
o VMWare
o Microsoft and/or Azure
o Citrix
o AWS
o GCP
• 15+ years of IT infrastructure experience.
• 7+ years of holding an Enterprise Architecture role.
• Expertise level knowledge in server administration (Windows/*NIX), networking, virtualization (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Ability to analyze complex systems and provide clear, strategic recommendations.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical peers.
• Effectively collaborate across departments.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Proven track record of effective and modern architecture deployments.
• Deep understanding of modern IT frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Ability to analyze complex systems and provide clear, strategic recommendations.
• Healthcare Environment Experience
