Description We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team in Hazelwood, Missouri. This is a contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with expertise in payroll processes and accounting software systems. The role involves ensuring accurate payroll handling, compliance with regulations, and supporting benefit functions.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations.

• Utilize accounting software systems to manage payroll operations efficiently.

• Handle benefit-related functions, including deductions and contributions.

• Collaborate with team members to address payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

• Maintain up-to-date records of employee payments and tax information.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

• Support audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and reports.

• Assist in implementing and optimizing payroll systems to improve efficiency.

• Generate and analyze payroll reports to identify trends and areas for improvement. Requirements • Proven experience in payroll processing and management.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Paychex Payroll.

• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax laws.

• Ability to handle benefit functions, including deductions and contributions.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with Ceridian or similar payroll systems is preferred.
