Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to oversee payroll operations for federally funded projects in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role requires expertise in certified payroll processes and compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act, ensuring all payroll records and reports adhere to federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll systems and a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Process weekly payroll while ensuring strict compliance with Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage requirements.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports, including Form WH-347, in an accurate and timely manner.
• Conduct audits of employee classifications, hours worked, and fringe benefit allocations to maintain compliance.
• Maintain organized and comprehensive payroll documentation to support compliance audits.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in federal and state wage regulations and apply them effectively.
• Utilize accounting software systems and tools to streamline payroll processes and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate benefits administration.
• Monitor payroll data for accuracy, identifying and resolving errors promptly. Requirements
• Proven experience in payroll administration, specifically with certified payroll processes.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state wage regulations, including prevailing wage requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage payroll documentation and audits.
• Ability to perform detailed audits of payroll data and employee classifications.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and resolve payroll issues.
• Experience with fringe benefit administration, including 401k or RRSP programs.
