    Who We Are

     

    Robert Half is seeking a **Billing Analyst – Protiviti** to join the Billing team. The team is responsible for the execution of daily activities relating to Billing. This process involves entering approved and verified data, creating invoices, applying tax, consolidating invoices as well as special processing for complicated invoicing needs. A detailed understanding of the existing systems used within the Billing team is necessary in order to be successful.

    What You'll Do

    + Review sales tax calculation on Creative Options program/fulfillment shipments, loan staff and Risk Technology Solutions invoices.

    + Coordinate tax table update with IT for sales tax calculation using information provided by 3rd party software.

    + Maintain Creative Options invoice log and tax summary.

    + Update and maintain multiple Excel billing templates in support of process and software enhancements.

    + Establish, maintain, and promote effective internal and external staff and customer relationships, including the other departments of the Protiviti Field Service Center, IT, Protiviti Operations, and Finance.

    + Resolve escalated and complex billing issues within assigned level of authority. Research and consult with others, including the Accounting Operations Manager, BSA and IT, to achieve resolution.

    + Evaluate root causes of problems.

    + Identify process improvement opportunities and work with team and manager to implement and document them.

    + Monitor and enforce adherence to established corporate policies and procedures relating to the department in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

    + Train Billing Specialist on billing processes, policies and systems.

    + Verify daily billing reconciliation and sign off of billing control batches.

    + Monitor volume of group email inbox activity.

    + Calculate credit card fee allocation by department ID and prepare journal for GL entry.

    + Prepare monthly departmental metrics report.

    + Analyze client specifications to determine feasibility of systemic solutions for special invoice requirements.

    + Develop non-standard invoice templates used by Billing Specialist.

    + Escalate complex or exceptional invoice requests as applicable.

    + Review special invoices prepared by Billing Specialist.

    + Support Billing Specialist as needed in peak periods.

    What You'll Need

    + Bachelor's degree with Accounting emphasis or advanced degree.

    + 3+ years’ accounting operations experience in a high-volume processing environment.

    + Without bachelor's degree, 5+ years’ relevant accounting operations experience in a high-volume processing environment.

    + Proficient in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).

    + Strong understanding of payroll systems required.

    + Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of ERP, company policies, procedures, organization and controls to insure the accuracy of time entry processing.

    + Understand the policies, procedures, organization and controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

    + Ability to build partnerships.

    + Proven track record of meeting established deadlines.

    + Team building skills and able to work with diverse staff.

    + Quality oriented.

    + Ability to understand and operate in an environment with regulatory/compliance requirements.

     

    The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.

     

    $48,000.00 - $71,000.00
