Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in South Gate, California. This short-term project involves supporting payroll operations and ensuring accuracy in timesheet audits. The ideal candidate will bring precision and focus to their work, helping maintain compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Review and audit employee timesheets to identify potential discrepancies or meal penalties.

• Ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures during the auditing process.

• Conduct detailed checks on data accuracy and resolve inconsistencies in timesheets.

• Collaborate with team members to verify and validate payroll information.

• Enter and update payroll data efficiently into relevant systems.

• Provide administrative support to the payroll department as needed.

• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive employee information.

• Contribute to the seamless execution of payroll operations for the duration of the project. Requirements • Proven experience in human resources or payroll-related roles.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in data.

• Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with payroll systems.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.

• Understanding of payroll policies and procedures is preferred.
