    Description

    Expanding firm is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will manage essential financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards. This role involves working on-site five days a week and requires a strong background in bookkeeping and payroll processes.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform accurate data entry to maintain payroll records for over 1,200 employees, collaborating with the payroll company.

    • Review and verify bills processed by the billing company to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including tracking and reconciling transactions.

    • Conduct regular account and bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.

    • Utilize QuickBooks to record, organize, and analyze financial data.

    • Assist with month-end close processes by preparing necessary reports and documentation.

    • Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

    • Collaborate with team members to address discrepancies and resolve financial issues efficiently.

    • Provide support for payroll-related inquiries and ensure timely processing of payments.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related financial role.

    • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for financial data management.

    • Strong understanding of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

    • Proven ability to perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations with accuracy.

    • Familiarity with payroll systems and procedures.

    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities for financial issue resolution.
