The Senior Manager of Accounting Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing key accounting functions, including Fixed Assets, Concession Fees, Payment System Operations (PCM), and Accounts Receivable - Cash Allocations. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimizing internal processes, managing a high-performing team, and providing strategic financial guidance to the organization. The Director will work cross-functionally with various departments to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
+ Oversee the accounts receivable cash allocations process, ensuring the achievement of the teams’ target by daily management of Key Performance Indicators related to cash application and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
+ Prepare root cause analysis for defects and work on continuous performance improvement.
+ Collaborate closely with the Credit & Collections, Treasury, and General Accounting teams to improve quality cash flow and to ensure efficient processes.
+ Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline the AR cash application process, improving cash flow and assisting in reducing days sales outstanding (DSO).
+ Oversee the fixed asset accounting function, including the tracking, reporting, and depreciation of assets.
+ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards related to asset capitalization, valuation, and disposal.
+ Work closely with the General Accounting and Finance teams to ensure accurate reporting of fixed assets on the balance sheet and related financial statements.
+ Implement and maintain robust internal controls for asset management, including physical inventories and audits.
+ Oversee the accounting and reconciliation of concession fees, ensuring the accuracy of invoices, payments, and concession fee reporting to the airport authorities.
+ Collaborate with relevant departments to track and verify lease agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
+ Ensure accurate financial reporting of concession-related revenues and expenses in alignment with company policies and industry standards.
+ Manage and optimize the company’s payment processing systems, ensuring efficient and secure handling of payments and transactions.
+ Oversee the reconciliation of payment systems, ensuring timely and accurate settlements and reporting.
+ Develop strategies to improve payment processes, reduce transaction costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
+ Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure the integration and functionality of payment systems.
+ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals in the AR cash applications, fixed assets, concession fees, and payment systems areas.
+ Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance within the team.
+ Provide training and support to team members to ensure a high level of technical expertise and operational efficiency.
+ Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to AR, fixed assets, concession fees, and payment systems.
+ Ensure the performance of all tasks are conducted in line with company policies and internal controls.
+ Collaborate closely with internal auditors and external auditors during financial audits to ensure transparency and accuracy.
+ Continuously assess and improve accounting processes, workflows, and systems related to AR cash applications, fixed assets, concession fees, and payment systems.
+ Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and support business growth.
+ Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial performance and operational analysis.
Minimum Education and/or Experience:
+ A bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university is required.
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in the field or related area or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.

+ Working collaboratively with other departments, such as Credit & Collections, Treasury, and Accounting teams.
+ Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs and priorities.
+ Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing, documentation, and reporting.
+ Solid understanding of basic and advanced accounting principles
+ In-depth understanding of end-to-end Accounts Receivable functions (credit, collections, cash allocations, reporting processes, and procedures).
+ Proven track record of excellent judgment and decision-making ability.
+ Demonstrated diplomacy, integrity, and ethical standards. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
