    Job Description

    Job Summary:

    Manage the transfer-specific activities and coordinating the transfer of product equipment and maintenance procedures, which involve:

    • Technical Document Writing/Review/Correction

    • Coordinate and provide training plans for technician

    • Performing First Article Inspection

    Essential Job Functions:

    Tasks & Responsibilities

    • Reports to the engineering manager and is responsible for carrying out products transfer projects with moderate supervision.

    • Manage and support products transfers.

    • Validate and ensure all the required test equipment, knowledge, Documentation, Tools and engineering requirement are properly transferred.

    • Works on collaborative project teams in conjunction with project engineers and project managers.

    • Manages own time on projects and departmental goals, milestones and budgets.

    • Technical responsibilities include system engineering, analysis, system integration and verification.

    • Review and analyze technical documentations on maintenance processes

    • Monitor testing and analyze data to verify performance of the product to customer and design specifications.

    • Evaluate engineering drawings and schematics.

    • Testing and troubleshooting of hydro-electro-mechanical sub-assemblies

    • Other duties may be assigned.

    Job Knowledge:

    • Ability to read and interpret circuits schematics.

    • Knowledge of Geometric, Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering drawing standards.

    • Knowledge in design of wiring, cabling, shielding, noise management and electrical packaging.

    • Working knowledge of computer hardware and interfacing; and communication protocols.

    • Working knowledge of various sources of electrical power: batteries, DC power, power budgeting, and 3-phase AC.

    • Electronics test equipment and tools (oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc.).

    • Familiar with civil avionics digital interfaces.

    Job Requirements

    Required Competencies

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

    • 3-5 years experience with Projects and Program Transfer

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical issues.

    • Good documentation and communication skills

    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Points and MS Project.

    • Basic experience with Enovia or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools would be a plus. Basic experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP tools would be a plus.

    • Candidate without PLM and ERP/MRP experience will be trained.

     

    This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. Persons as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. green card holder), political asylee or refugee.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office and laboratory. Constantly operates and use a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier/printer and laboratory machinery. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds across office for various needs.

    Work Environment:

    The work environment is split between office & laboratory work, with most work being performed in the office. Noise level in the office is typically quiet while the noise level in the lab can occasionally require hearing protection.

    Experience in relevant Business sector:

    Experience within aerospace industry a plus but not required.
