Hourly Rate: $32.38/hr PLUS generous benefits package
Annual Education Stipends: $500 for Associates Degree/Accredited Training Program Certification or $1000 for Bachelors Degree or $1500 for Masters Degree

Job Description:
The Project and Configuration Support Specialist (MCDSS) serves as a cross-functional team member supporting project managers, configuration staff, and account advisors within the WNYRIC and Erie 1 BOCES. This individual will learn and assist with the end-to-end project management and configuration processes for district-facing implementations. They will collaborate with school districts, internal BOCES and WNYRIC teams, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution and service continuity, especially during staff absences to maintain uninterrupted project progress.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and proactive. They are skilled in building and maintaining relationships with districts, vendors, and internal staff. They demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to listen carefully, problem-solve efficiently, and connect people and processes effectively. Attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to navigate complex project environments are essential.
The Technology Services MCDSS will serve multiple school districts in the five geographical regions served by the WNYRIC.

Specific Responsibilities:
+ Serve as a backup for project managers, configuration specialists, and account advisors across the WNYRIC.
+ Support school districts and internal Erie 1 BOCES/WNYRIC staff through clear communication and responsive service.
+ Gain in-depth knowledge of products and services to assist with project planning, configuration, and execution.
+ Maintain high-level project documentation, timelines, and communication to ensure service continuity.
+ Coordinate with vendors to deliver effective, budget-conscious technology solutions aligned with district needs.
+ Ability to review and interpret contract terms and conditions, ensuring that all quoted products and services are accurately reflected in contract agreements and aligned with district expectations.
+ Listen attentively and respond thoughtfully to questions and concerns from districts and team members.
+ Troubleshoot issues, identify solutions, and connect teams or vendors to address concerns promptly.
+ Collaborate effectively with cross-functional internal teams to meet shared goals and district expectations.
+ Prioritize attention to detail, follow-through, and responsiveness in all assigned tasks and communications.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
+ Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
+ Customer service experience and the ability to build strong working relationships.
+ Proficiency with business tools including Service Now and Microsoft Office.
+ Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:
A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered four (4) year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of data processing experience in vendor supplied operating systems software programming and/or maintenance; OR;
B) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two (2) or four (4) year college or university with an Associate’s degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field and four (3) years of data processing experience in vendor supplied operating systems software programming and/or maintenance; OR;
C) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and six (5) years of data processing experience, at least three (3) years of which involved computer programming with at least two (2) years in vendor supplied operating systems software programming and/or maintenance; OR;
D) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C).
