    As the Quality Leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the US Biscuit Category at Mondelēz, you will be the primary quality partner, ensuring our brands and consumers are protected. You will collaborate closely with Marketing and R&D, providing quality direction for US biscuit commercialization projects. This role involves prioritizing projects for the North America (NA) quality team and communicating quality resourcing to the cross-functional team via established forums. You will also serve as quality lead for assigned brand pillar(s), enabling successful execution of the business objectives while delivering the desired consumer experience.

    How you will contribute

    • **Quality Representation & Communication:** Serve as the quality representative (SME) in US Biscuit I2M governance meetings (e.g., PMM, pre-PAM), communicating quality resource needs and potential risks.

    • **Consistency & Collaboration:** Ensure a consistent approach across US Biscuit brand pillar quality leads and lead discussions on End-to-End (E2E) brand quality with the brand cross-functional team.

    • **Consumer Focus:** Promote Consumer Centric behavior within the category and brand.

    • **Strategic Leadership:** Lead the development and execution of the end-to-end Brand quality strategy and master plan for agreed brands to enable delivery of the growth agenda through quality excellence.

    • **Continuous Improvement:** Learn and understand the category & brand's mission, values, and consumer needs; partner with category, brand, and network quality teams to prioritize quality improvement initiatives across brands and sites; and facilitate RCA and lessons learned on quality incidents for I2M-related incidents.

    + Working with third-party manufacturers and suppliers to ensure compliance to Mondelēz International’s policies and procedures

    + Working with customers on quality related issues

    + Working with service-vendors’ technical equipment to support compliance

     

    Success in this role requires: Collaboration, communication, strong technical and influencing skills, and a deep understanding of consumers and the business.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Serving as quality representative (SME) in US Biscuit I2M governance meetings (e.g., PMM, pre-PAM), communicating quality resource needs and potential risks.

    + Maintain and update North America (NA) Quality's project complexity and resourcing tools to accurately reflect organizational needs and effectively prioritize resources for the US Biscuit category.

    + Ensure a consistent approach across US Biscuit brand pillar quality leads, sharing best practices across other NA categories.

    + Serving as voice of quality in brand prioritization and cross-functional meeting, ensuring project meet design, food safety, and quality policy requirements as defined by the I2M commercialization process. Ultimately enabling successful execution of the business objectives to maintain and grow our brands with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

    + Ensuring successful handover of commercialization projects to BU quality network lead.

    + Identifying and applying consistent best practices, driving a culture of quality improvement, consumer focus, and value across the supply chain.

    + Continuously improving performance against key quality measures by proactively identifying opportunities and recommending solutions based on KPI analysis (e.g., consumer/customer contacts, sensory, CPM, RFT-Make).

    + Managing day-to-day brand responsibilities, including reviewing consumer/customer data, KPI reporting, end to end scorecard creation, brand quality reviews, preparing presentations for leadership, and ensuring quality success criteria and risks are defined early in the IC (Idea Creation) stage.

    What you need to know about this position:

    This role is dedicated to supporting the US Biscuit Category and the assigned brand pillars by collaborating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, R&D, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, CS&L, etc.). You will educate stakeholders on quality principles and drive initiatives to improve key consumer performance metrics, contributing directly to business growth. Working closely with the North America (NA) quality team, you'll ensure a consistent approach across biscuit pillars, leveraging quality, food safety, and sanitation expertise to support the commercialization agenda. As the assigned brand pillar(s) lead, you will build strong relationships with the brand team, serving as the voice of quality in brand prioritization and cross-functional meetings, ultimately enabling the successful execution of business objectives to maintain and grow our brands and deliver a superior consumer experience.

    Education / Certifications:

    Minimum B.S. degree in Food Science, Engineering, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related Sciences

    Job specific requirements:

    • Minimum 5+ years related experience (Quality, Supply Chain, Food Safety &/or R&D)

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work

    • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.

    • Fundamental understanding of Sanitation, Hygienic Design, Pest Control, Quality, HACCP, and Food Safety principles.

    • Highly proficient computer (MS Office) and Communication skills (Verbal and Written) are required

    • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

    Travel requirements:

    Approximately 20% - 30% travel may be required for key project needs

    Work schedule:

    Hybrid work schedule. Role based in East Hanover, NJ

     

    The base salary range for this position is $117,400 to $161,425; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
