Job Title: Senior Manufacturing EngineerJob Description
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, evaluate, and improve assembly systems and related processes. This role involves enhancing human work factors, quality control, inventory control, material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination. You will collaborate with commercial or industrial designers to refine processes, aiming to boost productivity and reduce costs.
Responsibilities
+ Create and maintain documentation for PFMEA, job instructions, and standard operating procedures.
+ Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
+ Identify and implement improvements to products or cost reductions using expertise in assembly processes, tooling, equipment, methods, quality standards, and materials.
+ Troubleshoot product issues related to design, materials, or processes.
+ Provide technical support for manufacturing operations.
+ Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement procedures, resolve malfunctions, and share technical insights.
+ Use statistical methods to determine root causes of failures and recommend design or process changes.
+ Conduct nonconforming material analysis and work with Quality Control to reduce NCMRs.
+ Plan and sequence operations to optimize assembly efficiency.
+ Ensure adherence to safety procedures and regulatory compliance; maintain clean and organized work areas.
+ Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing to enhance quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
+ Supervise technicians and other associates.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in manufacturing for medical devices, aerospace, or automotive.
+ Experience with troubleshooting and PFMEA documentation.
+ Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ FDA experience.
+ Experience with lean manufacturing.
Work Environment
This position requires working onsite on the manufacturing floor for 50-60 hours per week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
