    Job Title: Manufacturing/Production Engineer

    Job Description

    As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will collaborate with project management to support installations, new launches, and special or capital projects. You will be working in the Electric Motors Department and will be responsible for executing engineering strategies and new product launches. You will also develop priorities and objectives in cooperation with each site management team and oversee their implementation, ensuring continuous improvements throughout the plant.

    Responsibilities

    + Work with project management to support installations and new launches.

    + Execute engineering strategies and manage new product launches.

    + Develop and oversee the implementation of priorities and objectives with site management teams.

    + Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

    + Utilize Solidworks and CAD for design and engineering tasks.

    Essential Skills

    + Process improvement skills.

    + Proficiency in Solidworks and CAD.

    + Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering.

    + Project management capabilities.

    + PLC programming experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 3+ years of manufacturing experience.

    + Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.

    + 5+ years of automotive experience if no engineering degree.

    + Experience in automotive manufacturing engineering.

    + Robotics troubleshooting capabilities.

    + Background in industrial engineering, HMI, PLC programming, Allen-Bradley, tooling, and machining.

    Work Environment

    You will work primarily on the floor (80%) with some office time (20%). The work schedule is 1st shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility as needed. The facility includes a cleanroom environment, although some areas are not temperature controlled. The role requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Expect to work 40-50 hours per week to support new product launches, with up to 5% domestic and international travel as needed. The plant is large, and walking 10,000+ steps per day is common. Steel-toed boots are mandatory on the manufacturing floor.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.87/hr.
