    Job Title: Maintenance Technician

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with experience in PLC, ladder logic, and ammonia/refrigeration. Candidates must possess electrical MX experience. This role involves working in a 40-degree cold environment with openings on all shifts.

    Responsibilities

    + Analyze mechanical and operational processing equipment and resolve issues using hand and trade tools.

    + Repair production equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic-operated systems.

    + Troubleshoot electrical problems, including opening electrical panels, replacing starters, contactors, and relays, and interpreting electrical schematics.

    + Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on various systems and equipment.

    + Demonstrate knowledge of electrical skills with VFDs and PLCs and perform industrial electrical installs, services, repairs, and maintenance.

    + Read and interpret schematic drawings.

    + Perform preventative maintenance of production equipment following standard operating procedures.

    + Use a computer-based program for entering labor hours, PMs, reactive and safety work orders.

    + Maintain a safe workplace by wearing appropriate PPE and following all safety procedures, including LO/TO.

    + Possess knowledge of FORMAX, HVAC, HAZMAT, MULTIVAC, and ammonia refrigeration.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with PLC, ladder logic, and ammonia/refrigeration.

    + Electrical MX experience.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    + Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.

    + Knowledge of VFDs and PLCs.

    + Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

    + Competence in preventive maintenance procedures.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Familiarity with meat grinding equipment, beef patty forming equipment, liquid nitrogen freezers, vacuum pack, and roll stock machines.

    + Capability to lift 60-80 pounds and perform physical activities such as bending, climbing, and reaching.

    + Skill in using a computer-based program for CMMS.

    Work Environment

     

    Work primarily on the production floor in a 40-degree cold environment, with freezer areas at zero degrees or colder. Ear protection is required on the production floor due to noise levels. Work involves shifts, including 1st (3am-12:30pm, Mon-Fri and every other Sat), 2nd (12:30pm-11pm, Mon-Fri and every other Sat), and 3rd (9:00pm-7:00am, Sun-Thurs and every other Fri).

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of SAUGET, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $42.00/hr.
