Job Title: Traveling Construction Painter

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings, and other surfaces. You must be willing to travel a 200-mile radius around Southern Minnesota. Your job will be important as good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits. Experience in painting with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures is required. The ideal candidate must be reliable, deft, and possess great attention to detail in completing their duties.

Responsibilities

+ Review scopes and work order instructions to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.

+ Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding and covering fixtures.

+ Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, pressure washing, and removing old paint.

+ Fill cracks and holes with appropriate materials.

+ Paint surfaces according to instructions using various tools.

+ Adhere to all health and safety precautions.

Essential Skills

+ Proven experience as a painter.

+ Excellent knowledge of painting materials and how to select, mix, and apply them.

+ Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.

+ Aptitude in using appropriate tools such as brushes, caulking guns, and airless sprayers.

+ Good basic math skills.

+ Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders, and lifts.

+ Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Drivers License is highly desired.

+ Experience in spray painting and industrial painting.

Work Environment

Work involves traveling within a 200-mile radius of Southern Minnesota. The role requires working at various heights and spaces, often on scaffolding, ladders, and lifts. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waseca, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
