    Job Title: General Production Worker

    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will play a crucial role in assembling various components for our products. This position involves working with industrial machinery and potentially handling glass, requiring keen attention to safety and alertness in maintaining a hazard-free workspace.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate small and large machines in the production of doors and windows.

    + Work on door and window assembly lines.

    + Inspect all products for quality assurance.

    + Machine products for hardware installation.

    + Prepare and handle materials effectively.

    + Stage and package finished products for delivery.

    + Perform other general warehouse duties as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Accurate reading of a tape measure.

    + At least 1 year of manufacturing work experience.

    + At least 1 year of machine operator or industrial equipment operation experience.

    + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

    + Experience in materials handling, quality inspection, and labelling.

    + Knowledge of OSHA regulations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Ability to multiply, divide, add, and subtract.

    + Capacity to read and comprehend basic verbal and written instructions.

    + Ability to work in environments with fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noises.

    + Physical ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    + Capability to lift and move materials weighing between 10 and 75 pounds.

    + Energetic, enthusiastic, and responsible attitude.

    + Results-driven and motivated to learn.

    + Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large manufacturing facility with assembly lines and industrial equipment, characterized by loud noise levels. The environment is non-climate controlled, with hot conditions in the summer, and fans available for comfort. Currently, over 300 employees work across two shifts.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MOUNT VERNON, OH.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.56 - $21.56/hr.
